GLL Season 3  Week 1 is over for the Americas region – Let’s talk about how it went

GLL Season 3 Week 1 has ended in the midst of roster royale causing some mix-matches for squad line-ups to be played going into Week 2 causing a nail-biting performance, as teams showcase their skill.

OpTic Gaming in the driver seat after Week one of GLL S3 Americas

The American squad in OpTic Gaming is your America’s first placed team, after a strong showing in game on, securing the most points despite ended up second due to the team getting nine kills. In game two and three the team fell off, but after an important 1v3 from Keane “Valliate” Alonso against EnVyUs secured OpTic Gaming a second place finish in game four, making them the number one seed coming into week two.

The OptTic Gaming player Keane “Valliate” Alonso came up huge in game three

220 points behind the number one team in Americas we have EnVyUs, they got off to a bad start after finishing

last in game one with zero points. Despite this start they picked it up on Miramar with a chicken dinner in game 3, and a third place finish in game 4 securing the second seed coming into week two of the Americas. Following EnVyUs we have Ghost Gaming who won game two and four, but also finished bottom 13th in game one and three.

The bottom portion of the Americas Alpha division was a nailbiter as six teams were on the chopping block coming into the last game of the week. Thanks to an eighth place finish, the GLL finalist Dignitas avoided a demotion to Bravo and it was Trifecta, Polar Ace e-sports, Team Gates and Tempo Storm who came out short. We’ll be seeing these players in Bravo next week.
